Functional and interceptive treatment for young children (Still having primary teeth):

It is recommended to have your child seen by an orthodontist as early as 6 years old, or earlier if an anomaly is noticed. If treatment is necessary, its goal is to guide proper jaw growth and facilitate the development of permanent teeth.

The treatment time is short (6 months to 1 year) with simple appliances. As an adolescent, it may not always be necessary to undergo full orthodontic treatment, or it will be facilitated by this first phase.

The functional aspect of care is also crucial: breathing, swallowing (such as thumb or pacifier sucking), and chewing will be monitored by the orthodontist.

The retention phase:

A fundamental phase after any treatment, it ensures the long-term stability of the result.
